Has anyone ever installed the Trail Tough Rear disc conversion on a Sidekick using front Samurai rotors and calipers? ??? ???

You won't have any parking brakes unless
you install a Micolock, or similar, and those
could fail if the lines break

Hello,
There's a posting under the archive section that talks about putting a ford 9" under a tracker,he used stock rotors a saturn calipers so he could have e-brakes.Also if you used 4 door rotors on the back you could use Ford tarus SHO rear calipers. If you can find a set of 96 rear axles you don't need the KIT,they have the 5x5.5" studs made in"one peice" axles.

Last I checked a 9" would set you back about 2Gs

Wild, I was just sending him to the place that shows pics of the saturn brakes...I'd love to have a 9" that would work...Almost had one on e-bay but it ended early....Was at $325 and out of old bronco....Just add 5.83 gears and locker I'd have been set!!!. I got over 10 9" housing at the shop but there are all truck rears and no brake parts...We use them for race car,but we put floater ends on them and use 5x5 pattern...Ive got a floater that is the right size but can't find 5x5.5 hubs to use with it...even have a set of 5.83 that would work...I know I know I should use it but the wheel thing kills me..

I think there is alot of us secretly collecting 9" parts as they become available for cheap. ;)

I did the swap. Pretty easy, used the calipers from a sammi. I use a line lock for my e-brake, but I also leave it in gear every where I park at. Still need to add a proportioning valve. I'm eventually gonna gut all the lines and run new ones.
