question here fellas. I could use some help in figuring out what all i need to put Dana 44 front and rear ends in my sidekick. If anyone could tell me exactly what i need and how to do it, that would be greatly appreciated.

First a few questions. Are you keeping your Kick's Tranny, T-case? Are you going coil or leaf springs? What D44s are you going to use? This info will help you get the answers you seek. ;)

id like to keep the tranny and t-case. Im going with leaf springs (but dont know which ones.) and the danas i have lined up are off a ram charger but i dont know too much about them. I need some advise.

If you can find out more about the axles. I know nothing about Dodge and what they use. You will want to make sure you have a passenger side drop on the differential to match up to your Kick. If that is good then find out the width of the axles wms to wms (wheel mounting surface). Also measure the center width of the spring mounts on the axles. Are they close to what you need to match up to the Kicks frame rails or do you have to weld on new spring pads on the axles or offset the hangers, shackles on the frame, or both? On your Kick the frame rails are about 29.5" apart in the front and 32" in the back. Maybe someone on here that is familier with the Dodge axles will speak up.
Other things to consider is what will have to be done to the steering to make it work and what is needed in the way of driveshaft mods. Find out also about the pinion drive flange or yoke on those axles and what you can about the steering set up the currently have.
Hey guys any of you know much about the Dodge D44s he is looking at?

those fullsizde dodge axles will have a pass side drop in the front but they will be way wide! your tires will be way outside your fenders. If thats OK then I guess its good! Obviously you will need to figure out steering.
A better dana 44 axle to use is one from a Scout they are almost the exact right width and keep the same bolt pattern for the wheels.

well ill tell you what guys whats goin on here is im sick of tearing up my differential and not being able to go anywhere. I have considered toy axles but i have these dana lockers lined up for free so i would like to know what i can do with them. I plan on cutting them down to size so my wheels wont be outside of my fenders but i was jsut really hopiong someone one here has done it before so they could tell me exactly what i need and a brief explination of how to do it. but you guys are helping out and i appreciate it. i would also like to know what leaf springs i should put on with it because i do not want to go with coil springs. but thank you very much for the help so far.
