Go to the RRO website and enter the Sidekick, Tracker, Grand Vitara section. Click on the "In The Works" button and look at the XL-7 4.25" lift. Click on the thumbnail pics and look closely. Those A arms are Calmini blue tubular A arms if I am not mistaken. It's kind of funny how they take all the time to slam Calmini in their ads and then use a Calmini lift in the ad for "their" lift, don't you think?

Hold on a second............. ever think to find out the facts before you accuse someone of doing something?
That rig belongs to Bill Sellers (Nomad) over on Zuwharrie and I believe he is a member here as well. He built that XL-7 using a variety of manufacturers parts and prototyped a bunch of stuff for different vendors. I talked to him and he had stated that the current Calmini stuff on his rig had sagged to the point of no real lift benefit so he started messing with other stuff. I will assure you that the parts mentioned in the RRO website are in fact THEIR parts that were prototyped by Bill himself.  ;)
Ever look at my rig? I have stuff on it from about every Zuki vendor on the planet. RRO, Shrockworks, and Rock4x use pics of my zuk to advertise "Their" products but do you assume that they have stolen other peoples stuff? Get off the hater wagon, it's not good for your health ::)
You can see more of Bill's rig below as he is the current ZOOM at the Zu

First of all, I didn't accuse anybody of anything that wasn't obvious. Those are most definately Calmini A arms in those pics. I have no doubt that the parts that RRO mentions in their ad are in fact sold through RRO and probably have nothing to do with Calmini. I was simply stating that it was odd to see parts for a Calmini lift in an ad for a lift by a company that spends so much of their ad space bashing Calmini. RRO should know that anybody who has done just a little research on lifts for GV's and XL-7's will know what Calmini A-arms look like. I am sure that if a vendor that builds a bumper for a Sidekick and uses your rig in their ad that the bumper on your rig is from that company and not from their competition which they spend some of their ad space bashing. Don't you see it as odd to advertise a lift at RRO and show a lift that clearly has parts from Calmini in the only three pics that are on the web site?
Second of all, I am not a hater. RRO has many parts that I plan on purchasing for my rig when the time comes. I was simply pointing out that they should be a little more careful how they choose to advertise.
Third of all. At no time did I ever accuse RRO of stealing Calmini parts. Ever think to look at the facts before accusing somebody of something?!

By the way, I should add that is a very nice rig. ;D

This thread brings me to question..
Why RRO has Zig's rig on their main Sidekick page when it has Calmini stuff on it. :) I've always kind of wondered that.
Just always wondered..
:)
Zig's rig is on Calmini's site too. I guess it gets around. It IS a cool rig and all..

At one time Glenn sold the GRP Automotive Rockhopper 4:1 T-case set I am running in the Kick. Greg (I believe it was) from GRP was nice enough to send me a prototype set of their gears to help me get my rig back trail worthy, after jumping the gun with a set of 33's on a stock axle and t-case geared Kick ::)
I dont think he deals with GRP any more, but just has left my kick on the page. The pic was taken on it's maden voyage out of the shop with the 33's and a 4:1, f&R lockers and Kicked ass all day. Actually that pic was taken on the trail ride that Drew Hubber asked me to write my first 'article' on the web about what I have done on my ride. 8) I wonder what ever happned to Drew :-/

Hey Zig, Im still runnin stock gears and t-case with my 33's. So far I havent had much trouble with the rides. In your opinion do the gears make running some trails easier?

That's cool!
How's your truck been running lately with the new engine, anyway? I haven't asked.

Yea it makes a big difference. With the 5.83's and a 4:1 my 3rd gear low range is close to your first gear low range. Slow moving tight turns and hill climbs are MUCH easier and my clutch thanks me for it every trail ride.

It's doing good. It need some fine tuning and a couple of leaks fixed but she is running great. Greg and I made a 2000 mile trip two days after getting it out of the shop and all went well with the exception of a busted heater hose 8)

If this thread is considered "vendor bashing" then I apologize sincerely. I am sorry for any I have offended and it won't happen again.
Thankyou for pointing this out to me. I will, in the future, conduct myself in an appropriate manner.
Thanx again,
Bri.
