Im looking into doing the strait axle conversion on my kick and looking for coil springs to use on this little guy.(2 door) i want to make sure to get the most flex but also get some lift out of them. i know they need to be soft and the only thing i could think of was a tj. but are they too stiff? please let me know what coils to use, or what not to. thanks everyone,

For mine I am planning on moving my stock rear springs to the front and putting some BMS (Boondox Motorsports) 3" lift springs in the back. I'll see how it sits first like that. If that is too low then I will move the 3" lift springs to the front and get with the guys at Boondox about some taller rears. I have heard some have used stock rears in front and TJ fronts in back.

I'm not sure if the rear springs would hold the weight of the HEAVY 1.6L ;D Really though, you might want to look into a set of Jeep 4cyl springs, I *think* they might work.

A guy up here put Scout axles under his tin top Kick and he used 4 door rears all the way around. It sits up nicely with 36's and flex's like mad

Thanks guys, ill keep looking into the subject. i think ill look at the 4 cyl tj springs. but that might be too much lift. ill keep everyone updated.

Send MarkyB a PM, he went into all of this with his SAS. I think in the end he has some springs specially made. You should be able to find the thread using the search.

Springs are wonderful things, and the way
they are made makes a difference in how
they ride, larger coils ride softer than smaller,
and longer springs (more coils) ride softer also,
so what once rode fine in the rear at 156 PSI/inch
rate, when it gets longer needs to be stiffer, I would
say a 200-250 PSI/inch spring about 16" long would
be a starting point. the Rocky Road Sammy kit uses
175 PSI/inch springs front and rear, about a 3" coil
and I thought those were too soft for street use, nice
offroad, very flexy, but don't corner fast.
