Title: Raising fuel tank on 4dr
Post by: HotRod on June 24, 2005, 03:59:13 PM
Is this possible? I noticed that the fuel tank is Wider by just a lip, Not making it possible to raise it between the frame rails like the 2drs.
I was thinking of folding over the lip but that might cause a leak.
Anybody done this on a 4dr or is that one of those little surprises that arise in 4drs?

1) the 4dr has a 2+ more gallons
2) even the mounts are different from the 2dr to the 4dr
We'll have to look into that more closely when we do the lift this weekend.
I'll keep ya in mind tho.
Don't loose it

I hope I am not out of line with this....
Heather and Nate and friends did this with the tank while doing a new bumper.

The tank info is on the 2nd part.
Hope that helps.
I hope to do this some day!

Nope, exactly what I was looking for!

We did bend the lip of our gas tank on each side to make it clear the frame and no leaks!

We managed to get the bodylift on this weekend but no time to raise the tank, besides its full (oops).
Maybe next weekend we'll give it a shot, It looks funny hanging down so low after the lift.
