Title: Met kansascitytracker today  (pics)
Post by: Cwkick on February 20, 2005, 01:25:00 PM
I met kctracker today.  I met him in Lawrence Kansas,  home of the KU Jayhawks and a good halfway point between our homes.  He bought my old tires.  I glad he did.  His old tires are in BAD shape.

His Tracker is very clean for it's age and he keeps it in good shape.

I had a family thing in the country and my Tracker was anything but clean.

He is a good guy and I was glad to meet him.  It sounds like he has some big plans for his Tracker.

Looks like the poor guy needed tires really bad  ;);D
Was it that warm that he didn't need his side windows?
or had a really good heater? ;D
Looking good.
Can't wait to see the red one lifted ;)

man, i wish there were more trackers and kicks (vits) where i am, would love to wheel with more.

looks very clean, and nicely unmodded. but i'm sure there are bog plans on the cards, and so we all await.

funny thing is, why is it that on the standard tracker, there is a bit of camber, normal i would say, but on the lifted one, theres hardly any at all. CW have u corrected camber of ur tracker? i have the same camber issues on my vit.

thanks, and still wish i could meet and wheel with other trackers. oh well.

cheers, Steve

HotRod,  The temps where in the mid 50's.  If the sun would have come out it would have been much warmer.  The wind shifted from the SW to the N.  That made it feel even colder.

Kansascitytracker is originally from Minnesota.  I am guessing he can handle the cold.   ;)

He really liked the new tires.  They are going to look good on his Tracker.

SiKiD_01  I notice that his Tracker does have a bit of camber.  When the wheels were straight it was fine.

I have a Calmini 2" lift and the lower arms are a bit longer than stock so it corrects any camber issues.

The wheels leaning like that when they are turned is normal on most anything, its the caster angle coming into play.  Check out early nineties fords sometimes, talk about leaned over when they turn sharp.

yeah, cool, thanks.

i know about the castor in the geometry, check out the mercs, they still have a shiteload of castor.

what puzzled me, was that CW didn't have as much, and now taking a very close look at the top pic, i can just see a tiny bit of the blue in which calmini is almost famous for. slip past me the first time.

so now it all makes sense.

thanks

and we need more pics too.

Got the tires mounted today, look great! Now the lift, altezzas and then a new top, then I think I will be done for awhile. I will try to get some pics thrown up here, if I can figure out my camera.
