posted something like this a while ago but still unsure. i have a 1989 tracker and i want to put 33's probably be going with mtr's to start, i am on a very tight budget and want to know the minimum lift i would need , and also good budget lifts, preferably suspension only, i think i read something about crown vic springs in the rear but what year of crown vic and any other info would be great.
also what trimming and hammering i would have to do.
thanks again

the best and cheapest way would be the 9" body lift, and leave the suspension stock.
if that doesn't work, you could always search and read what other people have done to get this accomplished.

Okay.
Here is the answer your looking for.

hahaha ya, dude just buy some new leaf mounts for the axels and move the leafs to the top of the axle. its gives you like 5 inch's or so.

That would be cheap and affective if he had a Sammie. Kicks are IFS ;) ;D

I hear body lifts add a lot of flex. ;) ;) ;)

Mount your 'Kick body on a shortened 1978 Ford F-150 4x4 frame with a 4" body lift and 6" suspension lift. Then you can run 44's and have a V-8! :P

Yeah, but that's for 31's. I think if you want to put 33's on, you need to extend the rear control arms to keep the tires from rubbing the front of the rear fenders. You might also want to think about making a drop bracket or a spacer of some kind for the rear 3rd link.
Plus some fender "grooming" in the front with a BFH and a torch or welder.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot, I also had to change where the shock mounts were located on the axle.

i like how that article looks with budget lift, will that lift make room for 33's or only 31's?

31's. (see my post above)
I wrote the article.
:)
Let's just say I HAD to extend my control arms and make a spacer for my third link in the rear as well as massage the front fenders for 33's.

sorry i wasnt paying attention haha, thanks, well see how it all goes.

You might want to fix this line on your web site "The 33's rub only on the frame now, and at full cock" ;)
I like the shock idea on the swing bumper. I was curious why there is no link from the home page to your tech section?

Ohh kozaz, get your mind out of the gutter,
you mean to tell me you never have had
your wheels at full cock ??? ;)

I had my wheels at full lock, never at full cock ;D, I guess my mind is in the gutter. I've used the steering phrase "Lock to Lock" and not "Cock to Cock" (this is starting to sound like a sick Dr Suess Book), I figured it was a typo. ???  ÂÂ
I can't figure out why you would say "at full cock"?
Sorry about the Hijacking.

LOL. Funny this topic went that way. That's the term I'm familiar with - "cock" ... like.. "cockeyed".. haha..
I think it goes along with guns more so - full cock, half cock etc..

I don't really have a "tech section" per se... this is all just stuff we did to my truck. I'm planning on revamping the website soon, making it sort of a... "homepage" for us and our friends to show off our trucks and our pictures rather than a "club" site, because... we're not really a "club" anymore. That went down the tubes. (ahh.. another weird saying "down the tubes".. falls in line with "at full cock".. right? )
;D
