Title: Have question about rear passenger brake drum.
Post by: dodgefan on April 04, 2006, 05:00:33 PM
The question is simple, how do you get it off?  There is a noise coming from the brake and I need to inspect it.

tap and rotate it.  If that doesn't get it, use a rubber mallet on the studs for a second in the middle.

Tapping and rotating has almost always worked for me unless your handbrake is still on or your shoes are stuffed.

I all ways leave the wheel on and take the four nuts off at the axle that way if it is a PITA
to get off I just hit the inside of the tyre a few times in different spots to loosen it up.
