Title: SHROCKWORKS bumper :(
Post by: tOnKa TrAcKeR on April 07, 2006, 05:53:55 PM
Well I finally got my  Shrockworks front bumper today.  FedEx sucks I was supposed to get it on APR4th according to there tracking info. but they sent it to Conroe NC instead of Edenton NC (about 350 miles out of the way) Then my Wife calls me tody (Apr 7) and says that my bumper is at my house but the box is destroyed.  I asked her if it looked intact and she said " I see a bumper and some other peices" So I figured it was alright. I told her to sign for it but to note the condition of the package.  So I get home and I am missing 1 body lift bracket and all the hardware  :'( :'( :'( :'( So I call Fed EX and ask them what happened They said that the bumper was "repackaged" in Winston-Salem  when I asked WHY ?? no one could tell me anything >:( The only thing I got from FEDEX was " we will check our terminal and truck and call you back in 48-72 hours"   >:(  So I called Shrockworks and Jim was VERY VERY nice even checked his warehouse to make sure that it wasn't left there.  What really sux is he doesn't have any more bracketts in stock right now  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( he said hopefully he will get some bracketts in a week or two :o :o and he will send me one out as soon as he gets one.  Jim is an awesome guy to deal with and I recomend SHROCKWORKS to everyone The quality of the bumper is awesome!!!! but fedex blows!!!

sorry for the rant but im still pissed off

how heavy is it?
If I recall, shipping was 100lbs.

BTW: gmj2fast
mine also came by FedX. Cardboard was all ripped up but all the peices were wrapped up really well. ShrockWorks did an Awesome Job Wrapping.
So, I'd wonder WTF FedX did to have to rewrap it.

How much are their bumpers?  Isn't it around $450 - $500 (worth it too).

Mine was wrapped very well by Shrockworks also. Everything taped and bubble wrapped together. FedEx must have let yours get all wet or something.  ::) It is a great bumper. Very easy installation. Perfect fit. Highly recommended. Here is a shot of mine in action.

Hey HotRod, that bumper isn't made for a 4 door!  I really think you should donate it to someone with a 2 door and you can fab up a custom one.

Oh, hey!  I have a two door 'Kick that just happens to need a good front bumper.  And you'd only have to drive to Eugene to put it on for me.  ;D

Your OTHER Warn winch?   :o
Isn't there some unwritten 'Zuk law about having two cool 'Zuks w/winches?  If I remember correctly it says something about "no 'Zuk owner shall own or otherwise possess two cool 'Zuks w/winches until such time as every other owner of a cool 'Zuk within 130 miles also possesses a winch for said cool 'Zuk".  Or something like that.

I'd really like to see some pics of the inside of the bar (from the back side of it) to see how it's gusseted or supported and whether or not the brush guard stops at the surface of the bumper, or goes down thru it into the base of the bumper.  Also to see the support structure for the winch.

Can someone get some pics of that?
