Title: Strut Tower Brace
Post by: Tracker_Camps96 on April 09, 2006, 08:16:19 PM
I have in my possesion a strut tower brace from a 4 door Suzuki Sidekick Sport.   I got it off Ebay for like $25 and the guy said he fit it up to a Tracker and it would fit.   Got it home...... its about 5 inches too long.   I am resilient, Im going to have it cut and welded and tried to fit anyway.   I really hope this works cus Im in the performance handling phase.   Does anyone know if this will work?   Does anyone suggest something better?   My wide wheels and the Cobra GT tires made the handling like 10 times better, but I want more!!!!   I can out corner my brothers Civic..... I wanna out handle a vette...... ok I know thats asking a bit much, but I can dream!

Suggestions?

Yes it will work with fabbing, the standard Sport brace is too wide for a Kick. You could look at doing it with threaded rod in the middle to join so that it can be adjusted correctly

Doh, I finally tried looking at it again, I dont think the brace would even fit into each side.   Maybe I should find a metal shop or something, have them make a bar to fit in there?   I dunno.   I just know I really want a strut tower brace or something to help with handling.   Any more suggestions?

Suzisport in Australia did for awhile, but its not on the catalogue anymore.   Yeh, probably will have to go custom.
