does anyone know what the CFM of the factory carb is for the 1.3 ??? the e-supercharger claims up to 2psi boost, ranging from 150 CFM to 800CFM, interested but sounds kinda hokey.

there was one on ebay someone posted, had pics and all... everyone said it wouldnt work, i would have to agree, the one we saw was maybe the size of a wiper motor

its probably best that u stay away from any type of 'charger' thats not currently used or approved to work.
the ebay one was basically a hairdryer, stay away.
i know we all want more power, and an electric supercharger doesn't quite spring to mind 1st. seeing as u mention carby, maybe try a weber 32/35 carby. it'll improve throttle response heaps, and some bit extra power as a bonus. there are also mods for it to stop flooding and starving, but i've not had a prob with mine since i got it (only my motor cant hadle it.)
coupled with extractors/headers, and a good flowing exhaust should be right up there for under $500(aud). depending on where u are and how you want it.
My opinion, and seeing as i'm always in mud or water, electrics seem to be the very last item on my list for mods. and think about it, if it doesnt work properly (e-s/c) it'll only get in ur way and hinder air flow.

This is just like 'Snake Oil' and is something I personally recommend on staying away from it. Not me but a neighbor put one on his truck (his is an Amigo) and it did nothing for him. Your better off with a snorkle if it doesn't work like a supercharger then it will definitely work as it's intended purpose.
Edit: Excerpt taken from Rocky Road Offroad: {The snorkle installation on the XJ America page noted improved power and gas mileage after installation.... when they were expecting opposite results. This due to the ram-air effect the snorkle has on feeding your intake (kinda like how a supercharger works, only not as forceful). Your engine also breathes cooler air from outside of the vehicle which produces more efficient power.}

Yeah i looked into that thing to. I was told in order for that type of system to work it would have to move alot more cfm then it claims. just because the strain it would put on you engine drawing from your power supply. You engine would have to work harder to keep up the power to it then it would recieve from it. Because if something like that worked then you could use a blow dryer motor and get same effect and it would be every where cause it would be cheap.
