Im looking for parts to convert a 1993 2WD SAM to a 4WD. Does anyone know where I might be able to find these parts? Anyone have any ideas on the best way to do this? If so you can email me at borderc|removethispart|@auburn.edu Thanks

borderc, not 100% sure about the sammy, but I have a trackick and there is a section in the (back) of my chiltons manual about what parts you need and the process of converting the 2wd to 4wd. Also do a search around these forums and you should see something. i'm actually looking to do the same with my tracker, when the space, time, money continuum allows for it! ;)
I can tell you though, there is a spot that needs to be welded, but I cannot remember off the top of my head what that may be.

Thanks for the info

Actually a Sammy is pretty easy with a few parts from a salvage donar. Suzuki made the 2wd and 4wd ones almost the same. Look under yours first to see what is missing. I'm sure you will at least need...
- Front Axle (same ratio as your rear).
Front Drive Shaft
Transfer Case and Lever
Might need a bracket or crossmember too. ? ? Maybe a Sammy guy will chime in with more info. I have even been told that some had the T-case already there minus the shifter. Could get lucky.
