Title: carb butterfly in open position..

it wont close.if i try to close it.It just kicks back open.

Sounds to me like you are talking about the choke.  From your name, I assume you are in Hawaii.  I imagine that in nearly all of Hawaii the temperature never gets cold enough to close the choke.  I hear you have a mountain on one of the islands that sees snow once in a while.  Take a trip up there next winter and see if the butterfly will close when the engine is cooled ;D.
