my grandpa wants slotted rotors for his 04 XL 7 because the way his motor home applys the brakes on it when it's being towed apearently gets them really hot so they warp all the time
anyone know of any slotted rotors for zuki's?

We can get them in OZ from an aftermarket supplier but you can always just get your standard brakes slotted. I've done it for my Kick but this time around I got a good deal on some new rotors already slotted by the manufacturer.

so OZ is a place that sells them? jsut want to make sure I'm on the same page
thanks

OZ= Aussie= Austraila
He's saying they're available in Austraila from an aftermarket supplier.
I think you guys should try to fix the problem so it properly works, not overbuild the brakes to make up for problems in the system you have now.

thanks, yea, he just wanted me to try and find some slotted rotors for him, I don't think he wants to mess with it, I don't know.. not my rig. Thanks for the advice though, I was kind of thinking the same thing

I had a front brake problem at 63k miles. The caliper bracket broke. The piece that encases the 2 ends together somehow broke out. The pad fell between the bracket and the rotor. Over time, it got further under the bracket and bent the caliper bolts as once the pad was wore down far enough to ruin the rotor.
New rotor was $75 at CarQuest
Used bracket w/ caliper and bolts was $40 (GV's are the same)
and new pads were $45.
Did the job myself and had it done in 2 hours. I can only imagine what some brake place would have charged.....
While at Pick-n-Pull, the same GV was a 5-sp and had the steel front housing. Told a friend with a broke front diff in his Tracker. He got it for $150!!!! Aaaahhhhh :o :o

yea, I don't think anything is broken on it, but thanks
