has anyone ever tried to install a diesel engine in a sidekick?  Ideas?

Yes,

Acme Adapters, Portland OR

They show part numbers for Sidekick kits but only have photos of Samurai converted.

We have a 1.6l TD in our Kick.. The guys at Acme Adapter installed it for us.. Give them a call:)

Best motor I've ever swapped into a suzuki! I'll never swap in a 16v again!  ;D

Cool!  I've got a 98 sidekick 4dr automatic that's been a dream, but at 225K miles its needing some help and I wanted to go diesel.  What should I look for and look out for in this venture?  Cost ranges and accessories please...

It can be cheaper than a 16v swap if your thrifty.

I was thinking about a TD as well. Anyone have a SOLID price on the final result? Just wondering for budgeting...

There is no set price on how much it cost. I've heard people spending as little as $500 and as much as $5000
