Title: Increasing cold idle RPMs

I adjusted the valves on my '93 JX 16V, and cleaned out the system with Seafoam, and it runs much better, with better acceleration and such. After about two weeks, the cold idle began to increase from about 1200 rpm to about 1800-2000 rpm, and once the engine was warmed up, it dropped back down to 800 rpm. The idle adjustment screw on the top of the plenum only adjusts for warm idle (800 rpm). Is this '93 16V idle controlled by the computer? Is this a suspect year for bad ECM's? Why would the cold idle gradually climb, especially after I adjusted the valves? I also cleaned out the EGR valve. My '98 Tracker factory manual says that the cold air idle is set at the factory, and shouldn't be adjusted. My Haynes manual doesn't say anything about a cold idle RPM.
Other than this (which is annoying, plus I don't want a 2,000 RPM idle on a cold engine), my Kick is pretty delightful. Your thoughts would be appreciated. I also have a junkyard computer from a '95 Tracker as a backup.

Is that with or without electrical load?  2,000 for cold idle doesn't sound incredibly high to me, but I've got all kinds of idle problems at the moment.
