Title: Opinions on Hubs

Looking for a set of hubs for Judie's 98 Kick.

Did a Google this AM and came up with the following manugacturers:
1) Warn - made in USA
2) Superwinch -
3) AVM - made in Brazil by company that makes #2
4) MileMarker -

Any comments on either. Looking for good price and longevity.

The last new hubs that we put on her (4 yrs ago) were Suzuki hubs and cost $600. I did not pay that, the lot that sold us the Kick did.

I'd rather buy some used Kick or Sammy hubs than any of the others, even  if they are new.

If the factork Kick/Tracker manual lockouts will work on an 98 (I think is will, sport model not) Then call Hawk and get factory units. I have blown apart Superwinch hubs, I have heard the Warns have a bad problem with bolts backing out, and I have never had any trouble out of the factory equiped ones.

I have the Warn ones, with the fuses on... The bolts do tend to get loose. Once I lost 3 at the same time and the remaining 3 were quite loose. I wouldn't have liked to loose one. Since then I keep checking.
And besides, recently, when I thrash them around, they make noises... I'll have to open them up to see what's going on. The fuses have possibly begun to break...

I'd be very surprised, the CVs will probably go long before the fuses. If you search back through the forum you should find an email from Warn to Dave Jones (K9RDJ) about the suitability of the fused hubs for Suzukis.

Edit: I couldn't find the thread but the gist of it was that the fused hubs were developed for a Jeep (Dana?) axle, had never been tested on a Suzuki and weren't recommended for them. Warn did quote various tensile strengths but without knowing the exact strength of the Zuk drivetrain they were pretty meaningless.

Yeah factory Aisin hubs are just about bomb proof compared to aftermarket ones.

I just brought another second hand spare set, I dunno why though I've never broke one to have to replace one  ???

PS: Make sure you get the conical washers that go with them if buying second hand ones.

I've had Warn hubs on my Tracker for almost 2 years now without any problems at all. They work great and never loosened any bolts. You guys ever hear of Locktite?

Hello,

I have a set of used auto hubs I removed to install asian hubs,They work fine just wheel hard and didn't want to take a chance on breaking them.
