Title: Sammi VS trackick brakes....
Post by: Chief on February 09, 2005, 08:07:56 PM
Just curious if the calipers and rotors are ther same/very similiar. Going rear discs soon, and finding used calipers/rotors are MUCH easier for a trackick then for a sammi!

I'm using the brackets from Trail Tough to bolt everything on.  8)

As far as I know the calipers are the same, rotors I don't know. Over here everybody with a sammy uses trackickvit calipers because they are easier to find.

We put 4 door vented rotors and calipers on our Sammy knuckles with only slight grinding on the dust shield.  (they fit right up)

The only issue is the bleeder, gotta take the caliper off the truck to bleed them as the bleeder is now at the bottom when mounted on the truck.

Nate, did you try switching sides with the
calipers ???  might solve your problem

Well DUH!  Good thing I don't have that front end anymore...

I only bleed them once, when I put the calipers on the first time, so it wasn't a major loss for me.  But I bet if they were swapped around it woulda worked fine.  (minus the extra length needed in the brake lines)
