Title: Soft-Top Trackick
Post by: Jayzuki on June 02, 2006, 12:03:59 PM
While travelling at highway speeds, how loud is the OEM Softop on the Trackick? I am guessing that Aftermarket tops are much better stock? I know this is a dumm question!!

Thanks

If the top is in good shape.  There is not that much noise.  I had worn out top when I bought my kick the back corners didnt stay in place and the threading was about gone so it was kind of loud.  I bought a new one and it seals up better and I noticed a lot less noise.

It's a lot quieter than the factory soft top on a Samurai...  It doesn't flap as much, and it doesn't have the velcro that lets loose every time a truck goes by.

bestop is by far the best replacement top (they make the factory tops for Suzuki/CAMI)

My old soft top was really flappy and noisy, I recently bought a used one in like new condition, it's much better, it's very tought. I think they just get old, stretched and floppy from sitting in the sun.

My rear side windows have troubles sealing.   Maybe I need a new top?   Granted, its 10 years old and the vinyl itself looks really really good cus I care for it, but the velcro doesnt stick as well, it leaks on the top of the rear window (only in car washes), and like I said the side windows always seem to open up.   Mine is pretty damn loud....... why do you think I have such a big stereo!?

I have a hard top, and I still need to turn the radio up quite a bit to drown out the rattles and wind.
It does prevent any boring conversations though.  Problem is it prevents any type of conversation.
