Title: body lift woes
Post by: WorkInProgress91 on June 05, 2006, 05:55:04 PM
I have just installed the sky 2'' body lift on my 91 sidekick 2dr manual, and after the installation i can no longer shift my transfer case into 2wd.  the body prevents the shifter from moving backwards into the 2wd position.  Has anyone else had this problem?  if so, what do you suggest to solve it?

I just did the same lift on my 96 two door but I also added the coil spacers I have no problems. But if you need to you can cut the floor out so the arm can move just a little bit more or I think someone makes an arm extension but I am not sure who.

I had this problem...I solved it by taking the body lift off lol... no kiding
you can do that by bending the shift lever a bit, that is what most would do, perhaps if you do not have that much of a problem you can just take the rubber boots off and make a leather one, this the way I solved my problem.

I have instaled CALMINIs 3inch body lift on two different Trackers.  It came with an extenton to weld on to the transfer case shifter and the directions said to heat up the handle with a torch and bend it.  I did this on one and the second one i didnt have a torch handy so i cut the floor. but this is for the 3 inch not sure about the 2
