Hi,
in England we had the 8V 1.6 vitara (kick/tracker) and the 16v. K&N only make an induction kit for the 8V one, would this fit on my 16V? or do you guys know a company that makes one for the 16v?

Cheers guys

If your 16V's intake is setup like mine you could do what myself and a few others have done:

You'll have to scroll down a little bit to see the process.

KN also makes drop in airfilters that work real nice. could look into that also.

hi, would the drop in one be as good as making a setup like AJMBLAZER?
p.s would a better air filter improve fuel consumption?

I've fitted an insert filter into my 8V air cleaner with noticable improvements to performance, but no change in ecoonomy - I'm running 31's after all!

there is no real good awnser to that question. ÂÂ
a cold air intake (like AJMBLAZER's) only works if it has cold air to suck in.  as i have seen on many peoples "cold air intakes" they are pretty darn close to the header or manifold which produces the most heat in the engine bay.  if you had a way of running the air filter outside of the track/kick then you might be making some HP and increasing fuel mileage.  take a look at this guys:   EDIT: can't find the thread i saw somewhere.  it had a X90 with the intake mounted on the outside of the fender.
EDIT: FOUND IT! http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=12385.0

Calmini makes an induction kit for 8 valve sidekicks. It will set u back $100. They give the engine a nice sound. I was going to get the calmini intake but i decided to save up for an arb snorkel.

I actually gained mpg by going to my setup. Would a cold air setup work better and make more power? Yes. Does my setup work simply because of the much larger volume of air that's sucked in? Yep.
I'm getting 22mpg regularily spinning 28" tall tires around town with the drag of 6" of lift and a leaky 153,000+ mile engine. The setup works for me.
fullsink18, he wants a 16V engine setup, not 8V.
