I'm currently in Costa Rica trying to work on my 1987 Suzuki Samurai (which I just bought). It would be infinitely helpful to have a wiring diagram since there are several things not working (gas and temp guages, right front turn signal, heater fan, and most importantly (for those who know driving in latin america), the horn).
Finding manuals here may be impossible or close to it. Does anyone know of an online download source to wiring diagrams and such (not talking about one of those online "manual sellers" but a free source for the data) which I could get at the library if I was back in the USA? Anyone willing to scan a wiring diagram and email it to me?

Go to my website: http://www.godzuki.us then go to the ultimate FAQ page...I have the wiring diagram, and the FSM there to download

try www.suzukiinfo.com

Excellent, or almost? Are there any differences between the 1988 wiring and the 1987 wiring?

shouldn't be much difference if any.

Another location for the '88 FSM is:
http://www.ackerdackerly.com/samuraiindex.html

http://pdftown.com/PDF-Suzuki-Samurai-Factory-Service-Manual.html (http://pdftown.com/PDF-Suzuki-Samurai-Factory-Service-Manual.html)
u can down load a entire manual.

This thread is so old that Ack's FAQ didn't exist when the thread was first started!
Unfortunately, most of the above links are dead with the exception of suzukiinfo.com (it does not work half the time) and the one just above this one.
For Samurai and TracKick FSMs and diagrams 24/7, go to http://www.acksfaq.com (http://www.acksfaq.com)
