Hi All,
I am running out of power after about 40 to 50 mins of driving... Does not matter how far i have got in that time.
This problem started 8 months ago. Since then i have replaced the rotor button and cap, coil and leads which none of these fixed th porblem. I have replaced fuel pump not even 500kms ago... that seem to work for about 300kms and then back to normal.
Any ideas.
Thanks James

Did you replace the fuel filter.

Sorry .. yes the fuel filter was changed the same time the fuel pump was........
Thanks James

I would drain your tank I have heard of people that put plastic bags in the tank and they will float around and suck up against the pump
Also you could check the cat it might start acting up when it gets really hot
or check for engine codes

i sorta had the same problem when my cat started to go..only got worse from there
id suggest checking the cat its easy enough to un bolt it and see
also the engine with no downpipe sounds frickin mean :o :o

I had that happen to me in a tunnel....the header got disc from the exahust....sounded like an engine under there...but sadly it was just my little 8v

Your problem will probably get worse. Yank the catty and either hollow it out and reinstall, or cut, clear and reweld and reinstall, or replace it with another muffler or straight pipe. Or then again, maybe it's something else entirely. Any speculation on my part would be pure conjecture.

As a result of my cat being clogged my manifold ended up cracking....
