Title: 2dr, extending wheelbase and gas tank....

Getting ready to start on the rear.  Id like to move the rear back 3-4 inches, but I really dont want to stick the gas tank in the back inside the vehicle.  Anyone done anything creative on this?

I may fab a custom tank if I have to....

I looked at it and couldn't find any really good options rather then making a new tank to put back there.  We really don't have that much room.  :)

You could cut the rear floor out, remount the tank, and build a raised floor that goes over the top of it.

mine sets where the rear seat used to be.  not the best option but i needed the ground clearance.
