im almost sure, but if you utilize the original mounting points for the bumper, youd have a small gap between the bumper and the body

see here:

im sure youve checked out calmini's extreme vitara and thats fitted with the winch bumper along with a 3 inch body lift

only 9 more.... ya, let me just get out my wallet and buy one for everybody, what kind of company actually tells you they sell products but can only produce them if they have 9 more orders, i'm sure they expect payment in advance too...... wtf.  sorry, just never heard anything good about these guys other than their control arms..... which aren't available anyway so who cares.........

What really gets me is that they have already done the R&D for it, it's been installed on project vehicles.  They just won't produce any without preorders.

Calmini's a company and their out to make $$$$ it cheaper for them to build 10 or more at go then one offs.   The sham of the matter is that they could of had ten "perorder" by now if they told people on the phone that they were take perorders.  I've called many a time about that bumper and I was told no we not making it  :-X.

Anyways at the price they want I'm getting a weilder make my own front and rear bumpers. (my goal for this summer)

true enough about the bling, but who wants a product that may never be ready..  but ya, telling people about pre-orders might make for better business.  to keep things rolling a little less icing on the cake might make for more happy customers telling all their friends...  good call on making your own bumpers, i will likely go that route somewhere down the bumpy road, i couldn't image shipping one of something like to my area!

I was going to say...don't they show a winch bumper on their website?

I was in a similar situation a year or so ago with my Ranger.  No one had a bumper quite like I wanted except for one company and they wanted $$$ for it.  So I finally had a local offroad shop bend me up a tube bumper like I wanted for a lot less than anywhere else.  Got any local shops that can do this sorta stuff?

calmini has told me more than once said that they do not make the products they list! even though it is listed for sale on thier web site! grand vitara roof rack for instance. i think it said to have you cc card in your hand to make a purchace only to be told no its not made. cant complaints to the bbb make it change? will not deal with calmini just my personel opinion. ;D

I've got lots a Calmini stuff, like the 3" body lift with the billet aluminum blocks, steering coupler extension and a new strut brace specific to the body lift that doesn't require body cutting.

And a rear axle/diff guard...

and rock rails...

and a rear hitch bumper...

Oh, I couldn't help myself.  I just HAD to go there. :P

I personally don't blame Calmini.  The GV is just now getting old enough where people might consider doing something to one.  But most are still getting the groceries.  Further, Suzuki owners are fukking CHEAP and complain about the prices of products that cost twice as much for the same on a Jeep.  Why would any company wrap up $10-20K or more in a production run for a bumper that should list for about $1K, and watch it sit on the shelf waiting for some cheepazz Zooker who actually has money to buy one, let alone pay the $150 in S&H to actually get it?  It would be a bad biz model.  Why do that when you can make a production run of bumpers for the JK, sell a couple thousand in a few months AND charge more than what a Zooker would pay?

Well, at least I got my "Calmini" winch bumper with brush guard, french'd fogs and set for a 3" B/L. ;D

If Calamini would modify the guard to accmodate the bolt / weld on bumper endcaps they could sell these for a varity of vehicles. Then they could keep the cost down.

A griill  / winch guard is a grill / winch guard..... only the bumper ends get changed to accomodate the particular vehicle.....

Shucks I might even by a set then to bolt on to my winch guard and do away with the front rubber baby bumper look.

Just my $.02

So unfair is right!  They called me and asked if my preorder was still good but I had to tell them my motor is blown and I can't find a replacement!!!

If they are in it to make $$$ they should sell all the lift kit parts separately. They'd make a killing on the control arms and drop brackets alone.

I e-mailed Trail Tough about fitting their tube bumper to a 2005 GV.  Reply was "hold my horses, one would be out shortly."  Fingers crossed.
