Title: Tuttle Creek KS
Post by: SKAsammy on June 25, 2006, 04:33:05 PM
3 of my wheelin buddies and I are Interested in coming to Tuttle Creek for a day or two.  We all drive mostly stock samurais and jeeps.  We were wondering if there is plenty of beginner trails and obstacles or if it is mosty for completely modded rigs.  Are there quite a few miles of trails or is it mostly obstacles?  Also is there a fee to get into the park?  I hope someone on here has been to these trails, if not...sorry for wasting your time.  Its just i cant find much info on the trails online.
Thanks for your time...

I have been there.

It is a state park.  There is no fee that I am aware of -- at least there was no gate or anything.

The trails that I was on are fairly mild.  One very steep hill, lots of mud near the lake if there has been rain.  I was handicapped by brake problems so I kept to flat ground.  The group I was with included a built jeep a newer stock jeep and me in a Pinzgauer 710M.  There were a variety of trucks already there including a SPOAed Samurai and a few full-sized SPOAed trucks of the beater variety.

Naturally, tread lightly, pack in pack out, etc.

have fun!
