what year of shock has the "post" top on it and not the eyelet?
thanks
-
Why do you want the post style?
-
no cutting or welding, just bolts right up.
-
for the rear i'm assuming? 98 crown vic . bolts right in.. tahats what i used on my 91 four door
-
too short ;D
I think I want longer because im going to have about 4.5" of lift in the rear.
-
Use the part number I listed on FIBC Tyson, it's a bit long for a 2" lift but should be pretty close for what you want. Or hit up a Lordco and look through their book to get the length you want. Remember to space the 3rd link equal to your lift or you'll have problems.

hey fellow BCer
I will look at it. How much do these cost?

-
I think I paid about 30 each if memory serves. They are nice and soft too ;D
-
do you know the length of them and the part number?
I was looking on www.funinbc.com and i couldn't find the topic
-
I know someone on here knows ::)
and do you remeber what the part number was for the napa ones biker?
-
Monroe part # 32162, I think they are 22" or 24" long if memory serves
-
ok, thanks, i will try those.
i know there are members running these shocks
-
if anyone is wondering they are 2003 2wd Ford F-150 Shocks
-
How are you getting the 4.5" of lift for the longer shocks?
Jim
-
well, i have been out mesuring at full flex and full droop without the shocks on and i will be able to run these shocks stock. ;D only have to add a 1/2" spacer to the bump stop. Full comresion on the stock springs is 14" and the ford shocks are 14" compressed. And they are 24.5" extended and the stock shocks are 18" extended.
I'm going to get about 3" of lift with areostar coils and coil spacers if needed. And a 3" ball joint spacer ofcourse.
YOU MUST GET THE 2WD SHOCKS 4WD's ARE TOO LONG!!

areostar springs fit in zuks? if thats the case i should put a set in the rear of mine.. .will that work? have 1.5 spacers in the front and back, but if i can put those van springs in i'll take the rear spacers out and the bigger coils in.... am i crazy? or will this work... it's a 91 four door
-
it might work. how bout this, early next week i will take some pics of my areostar spring swap and see how much lift I get and if they fit good ;) Then if you like the look of it you can go and buy some areo's and givr
