I don't see an introduction section so I thought I'd do a quick intro here...hope that's ok.  ;)
My name is jo-jo obviously...I am the creator and owner of Island4x4.com based on Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada.
We have an annual event started two years ago called Zuks On The Rock or ZOTR (and that is "rock" not "rocks"...we like to refer to the island as "the rock").
We will try to give several months notice for the next event so that people in the lower 48 can make plans to attend. The event will be held sometime in the fall (sept/oct).
I started 'wheeling about 10 years ago in a '77 Jeep CJ5 (basically the same track width and wheelbase as a Samurai, but a longer frame and wider body).
I've also owned an '87 Samurai, and currently own an '82 CJ5 and an '87 Tracker. Let's just say I like the tight trails.  8)
The Tracker is bone stock, I picked it up for $400. It is rusty, the windshield needs to be replaced and the dude thought the tranny was pooched. Turns out it just didn't have enough ATF in it.
Right now my CJ is the main trail basher, but is in need of some serious maintainence due to weekly thrashing and neglect. Since we have an invite from a club on the mainland for next month I have the big push on to modify the Tracker.
I'm not going to go crazy, I just need to get mobile again so I can attend the invite as well as get back to my weekly trail scouting and clearing missions.
The plan so far is to do a 2"-3" suspension lift, weld the rear diff (planning on making a mini-spool if I can actually), and install the 6.50x16 Michelin military tires I got off one of these things: http://www.iltis.ca/Pictures/
Once that is done I'll go through the little stuff as time permits; I'll try for more flex, rocker guards, t-case skid plate, raised gas tank etc. etc.
Once the Tracker is going, I can get back to working on the CJ. Then once the CJ is ready, then I can flip back to the Tracker and do an SAS and dual t-case.
I'll post some pics once the lift and tires are on.
Nice site you have here...HI EVERYONE!  ;D

This is my 5th Sidekick.
I don't have a Zuking problem. No problem at all. Don't try to make me go to any stinking meetings.

No Problem. Joe Suzuki is a friend of mine. As long as that intervention includes some Guinness, maybe some Crown Royal Special Reserve, umm, let's see, Bacardi, Cruzan, Capt. Morgan's, Bailey's Irish Cream, Jameson, Stolichnaya, Gran Centenario, Absolut, Maker's Mark, umm, Gentleman Jack, Hypnotique, Milagro, Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia, Bombay Sapphire, Baja Luna, Tequila Rose...
Shoot, I'll never remember all the stuff I have in the cabinets at home!

Wine, wine, where is that wine?
What about Glenlivet or some Balvenie Doublewood?
;)
No WAY am I going to repeat last year. So, no Jose for me, thanks.

Heck, there are too many kinds of wine to even begin!
Oh, yeah, Scotch. I forgot an entire genre of hard alcohol in my cabinets. Didn't touch on the liquers either. It's hopeless!
