nothing short of freaking awesome. I haven't really seen a modded sport model before and it's everything I imagined plus more. lower gearing, sweet suspension lift, 33's...  dude, that thing is trick

Ignore my PM about the rubber size as I just saw this topic. What do you think the clearance would allow for without the bodylift?

Glad you guys like it.

cj - without a body lift - 235/85 x 16 seem about right to me ( what my 3 door is running ). With the body lift 33's fit very well without too much trimming.

NOTE: These vehicles have Calmini kits fitted and the geometry of the front A arms allows the fitment of these tyre sizes. You would have to do a lot more cutting to achieve the same results without a kit.

Looks good i used to have a 2.0v6 here in South Africa with a rocky-road 4.5 kit, very good vechile.I sold it recenlty and now own a xl7 as well as my old faithful left hand drive Canadian sidekick.

Hows the axles holding up with those tyres?

Hi team  :)

Hotrod - got some alloy bumpers lined up. Will have to see if they fit though ???.

Maroon - coil spacers. Not really required at this stage. Goes pretty well as is for now ;).

cj - will see what I can do about measurements :).

sj416 nz - you better be there with that rig of yours or I'll have to come up there and drag your sorry ass down myself. So far we have 47 trucks registered so it should be a great event 8).

JayN - not sure what you plan for a lift but Calmini will be offering a 3" kit soon. This and my 3 door V6 have been used to prototype the kit ;D.

thanks, not really considering calamini. haven't heard much good about them for the ride of the lift and service.

glad it worked out good for you.

I am liking it!

How is the ride with the Calmini lift?

I really like the look of it, and LOVE the fact that you kept the IFS.

Keep us posted on how it holds up

Is it a manual or an auto? What size tyres are you running?

Hi landyman500,

Ditto - what Rhino said. We need more info.

I am waiting for 5.8 r&p's to become available again. If it happens then that is the way to go.
Your only option right now is 1600 5.1 r&p's - not much advantage though  :-\
