ok i went crawling to day and was having a bit of what i think was vapor lock..... i got at a/or about a 45 degree angle and it would start running really ruff..... i mean idle was ok.... but give it gas and it wouldnt go over 2000 RPM and put out. but when i was sitting level all was ok....so how do i prevent this in the future.... and no get a 1.6 or FI ranting so plz help......

do you have a stock or aftermarket carb?

was it stalling out? fuel mixture could be off, check front window on carb to see fuel level.  if u cant see it when truck is at idle, take a needle nose and while your looking at the window pinch off the fuel line going into carb, if u see the fuel level start to come down your float is stuck open. 

maybe a vac line leak too, check around all the lines. make sure there all good.
