Title: Reming Camber
Post by: TysonS on July 23, 2006, 03:30:33 PM
I have heard of people reeming out the upper or lower strut hole to bring there camber back and im wondering if it is better to reem the lower or upper hole?  thanks

The upper hole I would think. That's where the instructions for my camber bolts said to put them.

If you ream the hole out bigger and don't do anything else to hold the bolt, it will slide out of adjustment not matter how tight you tighten it. If you want to try the reaming idea, ream out the upper hole in the strut, not the spindle, then use two big thick washers, one on each side. Once you have the camber set right, weld the washers to the strut bracket so they can't move.

BRILLIANT!

And that, folks, is why Forums like this one are so great!

Thanks, Digger!

Just about any auto parts store can get you camber bolts.  They are $15-20 US a set.  They cross to a number of vehicles so they should be easy to get. They may not have them in local stock, but they should have them in the warehouse nearby. I got mine at O'Reillys.
