JUST BOUGHT A 94 TRACKER FOR MY SOON TO BE 16 YEAR OLD AND HAVE NO TURN SIG OR HAZARDS . IVE ONLY CHECKED THE FUSES AND RELAY AND THOUGHT I WOULD POST ON HERE BEFORE DIGGING FURTHER. ALL BRAKE LIGHTS WORK,DRIVING LIGHTS WORK, AND BACK UP LIGHTS WORK.....THANKS

Do your windshield wipers work?
-
YES WIPERS WORK. AS FAR AS I CAN TELL EVERYTHING ON THE TRUCK WORKS EXCEPT THE TURN SIG ,HAZARDS, AND THE A/C IS DISCONECTED. ALSO THE HORN WORKS TOO....THINKING MULTI FUNCTION SWITCH????
-
Yeah that is what i am thinking the Multi Function Switch must have gone bad. The connections that control the turn signals might be corroded or the lever inside might be broke. I dont recommend taking it apart as there is a bunch of little slides and balls and springs that fall out and get lost easily (learned that from experiance). Best bet get a different one from a junk yard from around $30. I think dealers want around $90+ for a new one.
They are easy to replace. I have a 94 also just pull the horn cover off undo the steering wheel nut and get a puller or hammer to get the wheel off and then a few screws to take the plasitc piece off and i think 4 screws to undo the assembly. Unplug the wires harness from under the dash by the steering shaft. Thats all there is to it.

I HAVE SEVERAL PARTS TRACKERS AND KICKS THAT I SHOULD BE ABLE TO PULL ONE FROM..JUST WASNT SURE BECAUSE EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS IN THAT AREA. ONE THING IVE LEARNED ABOUT LITTLE FIXES IS TO ASK FIRST MOST TIME SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE RUN INTO THE SAME PROBLEM.

Did you actually find the flasher relay?
I would suspect the flasher relay before I would suspect the multifunction switch being bad as you say the emergency flashers do not work either. The E-flasher circuit, as I recall, does not run through the multifunction switch yet it shares the flasher relay with the turn signal circuit.ÂÂ
There are several relays that can be confused as flasher relays and the location of the flasher relay changed from model year to model year. I finally found mine mounted on a bracket just to the left of the glove box. You have to remove the glove box door to get to it. Once replaced, everything flasher-related came back to life on my '96 Tracker...
BTW, would you like to buy my '96 Tracker Multifunction switch? ;D Works great. Got it from Hawk's.
NO NEED TO SHOUT. ;D

GREAT INFO WHEN I GET HOME TONIGHT ILL CHECK THAT OUT. THE RELAY I CHANGED WAS BY THE COMPUTER AND SAID TURN SIGNAL SOMTHIN ON IT.THANKS ILL LET YOU KNOW THURS.
-
im not finding anything in that location. can it be somwhere else because it has a/c?
-
On 96+ the flasher relay is on the passenger side, on pre 96, it's on the drivers side, not sure exactly where, but it should be a black box, I'm pretty sure it's in around the computer, I'll try to get more info for you tomorrow, like some wire colors to look for, and track.
