Last night the belt wrapping around the alternator on my wife’s 98 Kick broke. :(
I can spin a wrench, but I have not replaced a belt on a Kick before. I popped the bonnet and it looks a little tight. Does the fan shroud have to come off? It appears the other (outside) belt has to come off first?
Any tips or tricks . . .

The shroud should not have to be removed to replace the belts, but the outter belt will have to be taken off to replacee the inner belt. It is a tight squeeze in there but it's not a difficult job. The hardest part is tensioning the belt and tightening the bolts at the same time.
