Post by: andyt87 on August 03, 2006, 11:36:36 AM
heya guys. just got myself a nice new set of 31s. thought to myself. "if i buy the tyres. then ive got to buy the lift kit so i might get my ass into gear and do something"... so now. i need the lift kit. :)

ive bin lookin through the rocky road website, and i like the look of the 5" bolt on SPOA. it offers everything i need. and its in my price range. only trouble is. how to get it accros that bloody great expanse of water  :-\ is there a UK distributor?

i have seen a similar product from calmini... i think specialist leisure is the importer for them. but there websie never works for me?!?

also, if anyone knows of any other lifts i could do for around the £400 mark then please please please give me a few pointers.

my driving ban gets lifted in just under 2weeks an i really wanna be drivin a mini monster truck  ;D

cheers guys.

Andy

PS im sorry if someone has recently covered this topic... in a bit of a rush. couldn't be arsed to trawl through loads of pages checking if im honest...

again, cheers

AFAIK there is no UK distributor. I've bought bits directly from RR, just phoned them up and ordered them using a credit card. Make sure that you check that they have the bits in stock cos they have been known to be a bit tardy on out of stock items although I've never had a problem with them.

Edit: LA Supertrux also stock Calmini products

just buy longer break lines and new perches if you really want to save money,  i had to go that way anyways cause my rockyroad spoa lift mushroomed and ruined my axle housing.  their perches are made of very thin metal and not worth the time.
