Title: pinion seal replacement question NEED HELP PLEASE
Post by: lifted4runner on August 06, 2006, 01:05:21 PM
I have tracker 4.62s in my samurai and was wondering what the torque specs are on the pinion nut. also, what do I need to properly replace the seal? IE: new nut, bearing.  Thanks

I had same question. Only got part of the answer

You'll want a nut and crush sleeve. (or maybe two crush sleeves). I used the samurai torques.
torque wrench that reads inch pounds can be real pricey, local bicycle shops have them.

Go to http://www.suzukiinfo.com and download the FSM for the SJ416Q. Setting up the diff is fairly complicated if you've not done it before, you really need to refer to the charts that are given in the manual. I don't think its really something that can be adequately described here.
