I dropped the tracker off last night to get new rubber put on today. I'm getting a set of 31"x10.5 TRXUS M/t's put on.
I've been driving all summer on the tires that came with my rims, they are pretty much bald. The final straw was last wednesday I took my son to a place we usuallu go, it had been raining for several days and it was all clay. All I could do was spin tires trying to get up the hills.
Anyways, I'm just excited about getting new rubber

When you get those let's see some pictures. I have those on my Ranger and if a set of used 31's I'm interested in falls through it's getting some 31" TrXus MT's. 8)
They're great tires at any rate.

I picked it up tonight and they look great, I'll try to do some wheeling tomorrow night and I'll take some pics. They run real quiet on the highway, quiter then the old cooper discoverer tires I had on, and they were almost bald.
-
pics pics pics ;D
-
I'll take some tonight and try to post them. They drive great on the highway, it's starting to rain here a bit this morning so I will go back to those clay hills tonight and try them with the new tires, I'll try to get some good shots of them in action!
-
hey jim! how are the diff gears working out? lets see some pictures ;D
derek
-
Hey Derek
The diff gears are great, thanks for the good deal on them. I put them in about 3 weeks ago and what a difference when climbing big steep hills, I can actually spin the 31's again. I"ll get some action pics tonight of the new tires. Man, it feels so good having nice rubber to go wheeling on.
-
Hey jimiweld.
Would like to see that rig soon and go wheelin' . Been sitting on my new rims/tires been too damn busy to install the body lift. I am going to try this weekend, would like to see your body lift and compare to what I made up for 3" blocks etc.
Lets see those pics! :D
-
I suck at attaching pics, here's my 3rd try after resizing, hope this works.
Let's plan a time to get together Lowerezolution so we can go wheelin.

another pic

so.. how do they chew? I really like the look of them and would be great for the Canadian winters. So they are like a cross between a Swamper and a bfg Mud. Look great.
-
I don't get computers, I attached a different pic the second time......I guess it's me, but I'd love to tack a gouging rod and melt my computer into a pile of molten goo.......Ahhhhhhhhhh
Anyhow, the tires worked great and they have great road manners. Had the wife and kids with me tonight and we all had a blast, it was my wifes first time driving in the mud and water.

Hey Tyson
I'm fairly new to wheelin so take what i say with a grain of salt, but I thought they chewed well. I can't afford two sets of tires so I 'm hoping these will work for our winters here as well like you mentioned.
-
Another of my Wife having fun in the mud with the new tires
-
how do they do aired down to say 10 pounds? they look pretty good, i think i might be sold on those
-
sweet!! those tires should do good in the snow - a couple of my customers run them all year around and like the grip in the snow.
derek
-
have a friend with 33's on his rubi and he said they are better then the MTR's in snow driving.
they look good on yours
-
looks good. those are the tires i want to get when i have some more money, to bad they dont make them in 30"

Same thing i was thinkin, looking for something beefyer than the bf mud, and still street able. So if any1 knows how they compare to the bf's, lets say in real juicy mud... pleas let me know :)

I sipe all of my mud tires when I get them...but these have siping. I even own my own siping knife and after 2 years I still haven't siped mine. My Ranger has about 1500lbs on our Trackers but these things should do VERY nicely in the winter. Mine grip the road well and they can obviously chew through the drifts. I keep the Ranger in 2wd most of the time in the winter. This year I'll be driving the Tracker though... 8)
Any chance you could measure how tall they are on the vehicle? :)
-
They measure 30.5" in diameter with 25psi in them. I have been driving them on the street like this. I didn't need to air down for what I was driving in yesterday, but I would like to try that when i get into a sticky situation. Overall I'm very happy with the tires so far, they cost me almost as much as I have in my entire rig including purchase price, but what good is a 4wd if you don't have tires to go anywhere fun.
I'll try airing these down at my shop on Saturday and take some pictures of how much they bulge at what ait pressure and post the results for everyone who is interested.

Nice.
What is the B/S of your rims?
-
I can't remember off the top of my head, I'll be changing a stud this weekend so I'll measure it then.

PICTURES!!!
THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PICTURES!!
LOL...
;D

hey quad, first page ;)

You'll be pleasently surprised with their bulge as you air them down. I wheeled with a guy a few years ago with a Rubicon and he was impressed with my TrXus MT's compared to his MT/R's. He hated them in the winter and offroad they packed up in anything sticky. They were also rather stiff. My TrXus MT's excelled in all of those areas and made him drool...he kept asking me about them every time we stopped during the trail ride. 8)
Thanks for the measurements. I've got an itchy credit card that says "BUY TIRES, BUY TIRES." :P
-
those tires look huge compared to my 9.5 swampers!
-
look great, had them on my Rover and loved them - great road manners and great off-road. I want to get another set for my Zuki ...
-
hey quad, first page ;)
LOFL... I swear I looked and didn't see them.. HAHA!!
How much air did they have in them in that pic? LOL.. they look solid as a rock.
I am very interested in how little air you can get away with running.
Keep us posted, I really like the looks of them so far!!!

i had the 265/75R16's on my 98 f150, and i couldn't keep up with my friend's 98 f150 with bfg muds in anything soft or wet (mud, snow, sand, etc). other than that, they're decent tires.
-
Ok Guys, here's shots of the tire at 5 psi in the parking lot at my welding shop. They sit pretty good and I drove them up onto a curb to give you an idea of how they wrapped around it.
What do you think Quaddawg?
-
Here's a few more shots

another

I can't seem to post more then one pic at a time
-
I'm finally figuring this picture posting thing out!
-
That's five huh?
My opinion is that they will probably soften a bit, and you might have to run a bit more, and your sidewall IS a BIT more prone to damage, but if they look just like that on the trail, it is close to PERFECT for ultimate traction. I think you will be amazed at the traction that will give you.
WATCH THEM CLOSELY for signs of spinning on the wheel, maybe make a mark on them and the rim, and and watch of rolling them off the rim, and getting bark and dirt between the bead and the tire..
if all is well, and stays well GO FOR IT.. if it seems a bit iffy, give it another 2 lbs...
Yep, you are gonna LOVE the traction there!!
-
That really is 5psi, from the side shots it's hard to see the bulge so that's why I took the front shots close to the ground. I had to borrow the neighbouring shops digital tire gauge as mine only read down to 10 psi acurately.
Thanks, I'll mark them and keep an eye on it to make sure they don't spin then. I can't wait for the next rainy day now!!!

Actually mine have been great in that stuff. You'll have to see for yourself. Some people's ideas of mud differ in due to their locations.
