I've all but decided to purchase a GV but I'm anxiously waiting for the 2007's to be delivered. The dealerships are no help. I see that the 2006's came out in September of last year, so I expect the 2007's should arrive any time now. But to quench my anxiety, I'd like to know the exact week/date if anyone has that info.
Also, I'm sure the 2007's will remain 99% the same, but if anyone has any insight on what small options/changes/bug-fixes they'll include I'd definitely appreciate that info too!
Thanks,
- Tex

Thanks, but that is a massive SUV and not the Grand Vitara. :-\

I can't answer your question as to when the new '07 models will arrive, but it's a no brainer that the GV being a second year model won't have many changes if any.
Unless you absolutely have to have an '07 for the sake of having an '07, go for a left over '06 and save yourself some $$$...

Yeah, I've considered that, however I'm gonna wait to see the savings because:
- The $$ you save by getting a 2006 is almost entirely absorbed by the off-the-lot depreciation you incur by purchasing a car that is considered a year old even though you've only owned it for 30 seconds. Being that this is the first time I've ever bought a Suzuki, resale value is a concern of mine in case I'm not a fan.
- I'm always wary of first-year models/remakes. There are always dozens of little changes they make that you don't notice sitting/looking at the car, but that improve the car's lifetime. Plus I'd hope that the little glitches people have found so far (ie, outside temperature display) would get addressed.
- I'm really hoping they come out with a dark metallic charcoal color. I'm not too fond of Azure Grey or the Silky Silver that the 2006's offer, though I'd settle for the Grey.
- Kind of a picky point of mine, but if I'm gonna pony up the $25k for a new car I want it to be fresh out of the box. There's something that bothers me about buying a new car at new car price that has baked in the sun for 3 months this summer and has 300 often-harsh test-driving miles on it.
