i have a 89 sidekick and it just seems that everytime i go out trail riding i just cant get enough wheel travel. i was thinking straight axle in the front but what do i get the axle out of.

Samurai axles with wheel spacers.. Nice thing about sammy axles are you can take tracker/sidekick front ring and pinion gears and put into the sammy carriers in the diffs.
Also another option are toyota axles.. Most come with 4.10's in them or better gearing...
either way your going to have to buy some kits or if you can weld I would suggest making most of the stuff for the conversion yourself to save alot of $$$
After my sammy, I plan on doing a straight axle kicker/tracker...

Have you removed the front sway bar?
Helps alot.

I've the tracker, running 33's at the moment and locked front and rear. I've found that w/ the Hagen mods to the rear (or close to it) I've a little over 36 inches of travel out back. that with the lockers has been awsome. That way I've maintained my roadability and still rock off road. As the old saying goes, make up for what you don't have with what you do.
The three link in the back of these little trucks is solid and flexy with the right tweaking. The front with care can be adiquitely strong, and of course lockers help.

i was thinking yota axles, i was just wondering are they longer than sidekick axles, and how much farther would they stick my wheels out
