I going to do the 1st oil change on my 2000 GV since I have owned it. I never got the owners manual when I bought it. What oil do they run? as well what do they run in the automatic for fluid? And well we are on topic what about the t-case and the axels's.
Thanks....FullDraw

I just use Castrol 5-30. I think it's Dextron for the tranny, but I'm not sure.

mrleft.hk, are you into HK guns or is your nick' related to horse power?
-
Does the 2 litre have chain driven camshaft? If so, definitely use fully synthetic 5W-30; apparently it's the right stuff to avoid problems with the chain system.
-
Yepper chain driven and you really don't want to use anything thicker than 5-30, or else you'll wind up with timing chain tensioner problems. ;D
-
Would 5/40 synthetic work ok? I think some one osted they are using it. I don't want to work on the timing chain as it looks like a lot of work to me.

It's funny :) , another mr left in hk(pro), but my hk is the location Hong Kong. :D
Do you live in Norway?
-
Hong Kong, that explains why you put HK in you'r name ;D
yes, i live in Norway.
-the land of the midnight sun (and expensive gasoline, alcohol and cars)
-
Soon will living in the dark, only few hours can see the sunlight, right?
Gasoline and cars are expensive in Hong Kong too, unlead about 1.38 Euro per liter, how about yours?
-
in christmas we only got 3-4 hours of sunlight, but up north it's total darkness for a couple of months :(
gas is about US $2 a litre, (95unlead!) so i guess it's almost the same as in Hong Kong :(
-
About USD1.76 per liter in HK (98 unlead, but no choice), It's expensive there. :(
But you can save a lot of electric fee because your area dosen't need a air con ;D
