Title: high idel problem help

my 91 tracker starts up fine idels good then when it gets warm it idels high and the check engine light comes on any one know what could be causing this

This probably won't apply per the check engine light issue...

There is a screw that does adjust the engine idle speed right behind the throttle body

Pull the codes from the ECU. It sounds like the throttle opener may not be pulling back properly. Check the connections to the Vacuum Switching Valve (front of engine) and the vacuum lines.
