Title: Clutch pedal free play...
Post by: red94track on January 28, 2005, 02:02:46 PM
I need help trying to adjust the free play in the clutch pedal. First off, I have a 94 2wd track. When I go under the vehicle and tighten the nut on the end of the clutch cable, the free play at the pedal is good (maybe 1/2"), but after a couple of days the play keeps getting longer. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Stretched cable maybe? I new cable is like $35, and a breeze to install!

If it hasn't been replaced in a couple years, I'd go ahead and replace it... they don't seem to last super long, and as Chief said, they're real cheap and easy to install. It'll be one less thing that can go out at an inopportune time.
