Title: egr valve

hey whats goin on its been a while..... i have a new problem now lol.....my check engine light is on and it reads egr vavle.... do i really have to muster up the 100 or so dollars or can i clean it out like ive been reading about ....the motors a 1.6 8v 94...any help would be nice ....thanks

   My light has come on twice on my 95 for the EGR valve.  Both times I've just had the valve and tubes cleaned and its gone out.  I'd definitely try it before I started replacing parts.
