Title: T-Case mounts
Post by: HUMZUKI on January 28, 2005, 03:32:27 AM
I just ordered Calmini's 5:14 gears. What T-case mounts are yal using and what do you think of them? I know I'll probably need an after market mount/skid job. Im diggin TrailToughs even though Its the most expensive. What if I just welded a bunch of 1/4" plate to the stock stuff and used some polly mounts? Anybody gusset there stock stuff? Pic's?
I need to get under there and look,,,but Im sure I can really buff the existing stuff up with some well placed plates, but I don't want to make it so I cant get the case or trany out.

We made a 'bucket' for our Sammy case which was an exact bolt in to the stock t-case mounts.  Used 1" square stock and 1/4" flat iron.
Worked great.  I'll see if I can get a couple of pictures.
