I just got off the phone with Calmini from ordering the 2.5" suspension lift for my 02 Tracker. I have to say I am getting excited to begin modding this little toy..
I asked them what size tires I could run with this kit and they said 235/75/15's with a 1"offset. So now I need to find some new wheels and tires for it. Where is the best place to get these with the right offset, or does anyone have a better choice on what to do next so I could fit some 31/10.5/15's on there... lol
Thanks,
Bill

Did they actually have the kit in stock?
-
Make sure they did not poop in the box.....you really have to watch those jerks!

don't buy 235's, you'll regret it. fit 30's under that no problem with your lift. if you want the 31's you need a 2inch body lift from rocky road or hack up your fenders.. it's a pita to install but worth it. you can keep the stock rims and the tires will only rub slightly on the frame at full lock unless you go for 31's with really aggressive tread. then you might wanna space'em out some.

Jeff,
The guy I talked with on the phone at Calmini said the kit was in stock for my vehicle. Lets hope so..
bzzr2,
30's no problem huh.. That sounds a little better. So some BFGoodrich All Terrains in say a 30/9.50-15's on my stock wheels will work with the Calmini 2.5 suspension? I for sure don't want to do any trimming on the fenders at this stage. And for right now if I can get away with the 30/9.5's without a body lift that sounds pretty good to me too.
Thanks for the replies and keep the opinions coming..
Thanks,
Bill

dude, its an awesome kit
i run it with half inch spacers and run 245/75R16
though i removed the wheel well
i dont know why so many people here have had such bad experiences with calmini
calmini rules

should be just fine with the 30's, you will have a little bit of frame rub at full lock. the at's maybe less cause of less side lugs for mud.. i put 30's under mine with a 1.5 inch suspension lift, they didn't rub the body anywhere just the frame at full lock.

I'm thinking of getting the Calmini kit, but already have OME springs, struts, shocks. What advantages would I gain (trying to justify the cost, etc ...) to use the hardware (a-arms, etc ..) on my 4-door 02 Vitara.
I'd keep the OME stuff as I've heard it is so much better.
Thanks,
Jeff

youd be in pretty good shapr using the ome springs if you want a softer ride and id actaully prefer he ome struts since the calmini kit struts are not longer but just use spacers as opposed to the ome

Still waiting for the kit to show up, I can't wait for it to get here so I can start wrenching.. lol
