So I sent my wiring harness and speedometers out last week to get my 16valve 1.6 conversion done before Zukimelt. Sure enough, I call Trailtough up today and find out they're closed all this week! So much for getting the conversion done with time to spare. worsre yet my 1.3L is already pulled. If I'm lucky, I'll get everything with enough time to pull an all nighter and get it working the weekend before I drive off to Indiana. Wish me luck

When it gets back go get some (http://ouziel.blogs.com/photos/uncategorized/redbull.jpg) and have fun.
PS. Do not mix Red Bull and chocolate ;D

Speaking from experience? ;D

Speaking from experience? ;D
Oh yeah, it will push your adrenalin into overdrive. Did it once while helping Dad rebuild his house after a flood. I will never mix the two again.

That's the best way to learn. Experience the negative effect first ;D

I don't know man, after hearing your account of the experience I think I'm more inclined to give it a try. ;D How much did it take to kick into overdrive.

I wonder if you eat and drink enough if you will get visuals... A pink polka dotted elephant walking through my living room would rock!

Since everybody is curious. ;D It was 3 Red Bulls, one after another, toss in a King Size Hershey Bar and a 95* temperature with 90% humidity while doing construction work. Thought my body was gonna explode.
*Do not attempt this at home. The items listed above were consumed by a professional idiot ;)*

Good luck with the transplant!
I had the same problem with an AAPOA 8-valve in 2002. >:(
She was breathing thru a Sarge Weber though, so that was a bit easier to deal with...
Got 'er done just in time to head for Attica.
Hope to see you there!

I did something similar on a (attempted) one day trip from Central Michigan to Myrtle Beach (leaving at 10am after 4 hours of interrupted sleep). I was taking no-doz and washing them down with Mountain Dew. At a rest stop in TN I wondered why everyone was looking at me so weird, then realized my hands were shaking so bad I couldn't get the key into the door lock. Remember Doc Brown from Back to the Future? Yeah, that was me!! Finally quit in NC somewhere and got a hotel room after imaginary animals (and people!) began jumping out from behind road signs. Got to sleep at midnight and woke up at 10 am with a roaring headache. Two bottles of water later I was (safely) back on the road and made it home with no further problems. I learned my lesson; haven't tried anything like it since.

Neither have I. Sometimes you've just got to let your body rest or it will revolt. :o

Yeah, I wasn't going to mix this experience with long distance driving and lack of sleep. I once downed some no-doze with alot of coffee in college but all it did was make my stomach do backflips instead of making me do backflips. WORST FINAL EXAM EVER.

There used to be these energy pills called RED CAPS, 950ML of pure efhedra, at the time i was working 3 part time job's
getting about 3 hours of sleep a day, worked all 3 for about 3 months, kiked back to just two, Auditor at UPS and Construction cleanup, but stayed with the 3 hours of sleep a day and lived on thoes pills, they were store bought, so no fear right? nah about 9 months later started haveing chest pain, 2 stroks and 1 heart attack in 1 month, at 19. Cause 1800MG of ephedra a day, washed down with a 6shot mocha and mountain dew working sunrise at UPS, lasting effect to this day jitters, side effect Heart wise medication, to lower blood viscosity, lesson learned, just because its legal does not mean it is not harmfull.
now I stay away from any type of energy boosting additive, I drink a sparks now and again, a mocha in the morning and nountan dew during the day. nah just sleep, heartattack is scarry as hell.

It's amazing you're still alive. With 1800MG of ephedra a day in you, I dont see how you kept from bouncing off the walls

Aye they did a blood test, the though i was on meth, they only found ephedra, non of the other agents then they started believing me, but they can make a picture of your heat with electrodes they stick on you, said i have a strong heart, now i get palptations every once in a while, and chest pains, thats what the meds are for, but daily max dose of ephedra is like 450MG or somthing like that, so one pill puts you at 2x the max daily dose. They of corse dont make the pills anymore. but words of warning to ppl looking for a boost, it can and will catch up to you if abused. And i came pretty close to death, I rember it verry well, my chest started to hurt, then my arms and legs got numb, bout that time my legs gave out and I hit my head on the concrete, i rember wakeing up in the hospital. feels like somone riping your heart out through you chest, i am just luck because my "now wife" had only just walked through the door when it happened. and she called the ambulance, so yeah I came close to not bieng around and it makes you think.
sorry to steal the threed,
i find that to keep my self awake on jobs like that, Mountain dew, maby a sparks or 2 and get plenty of sleep the night befor, hit it as soon as you get it and go full bore. have everything ready first , and handy good luck and keep us posted, but i dont think putting your body on overload will help its easer to think when your head and you arms move the same speed. less mistakes - and you only have time to do it once.
