Title: Odd brake noise???
Post by: blacknight on January 27, 2005, 11:43:22 PM
Im starting to get an odd noise from my front brakes between 10 to 15mph when coming to a stop and only when coming to a frim/hard stop.  The sound is like groan, just like when your on a hill and let the brakes out slowy. The streeing dosen't pull and it stops striaght.  I check the pad and they seam ok.  Any other thoughts??? Glazing, something lose???

Brakes, not Breaks  ;D

unless your brakes break, which is
what it sounds like you got.  Did you
check all front pads, inside and out ?

Hard Braking can cause the pad to contact
the unworn edge of the rotor, just a bit, so the
sound is intermitant, or did you just change
pads?  Just return from a trip where you were
braking heavily and got the pads smoking ?

That could be glazing
