My recently purchased sportkick has a broken oil dipstick. I plan on searching some junkyards for one. Just wondering which ones should fit properly...

Broken how ???
Rubber pull end missing ?

Well, mine has a yellow plastic handle, and the person who had it before me broke it off about halfway up. It can still be removed but requires a set of pliers and is a pain in the butt. I would rather get a new one, and was wondering which year models might fit my 97 sport

Here is what I did on mine, mind you
I had a rubber end that the puppy chewed
off :o
I remover the rest of the rubber with a wire
wheel, and snipped off the part that has the
holes in it for the rubber to bond to the steel.
I then heated it with a propane weed burner
and rolled the end over into a loop, like the
dipsticks of old used to have, all fixed works
great, cost 5 min and some propane

Thanks. Sounds like a good idea. Im not sure if mine has enough extra to make into a loop though, but I'll definitely check it out this afternoon.
