OK, here's the deal. Truck warms up to normal operating temp, and I turn the heat on, full blast. Nice and warm for about 20 secs, then blowing BARELY warm air/cold air.
So what's the deal? Heater core blocked up or what???
-
Yep.

Heater hose collapsing?
An easy way to clean out the heater core is to disconnect both heater hoses and flush the whole thing with a garden hose. Low pressure and low volume shouldn't damage the heater core even if it is a little weak.

could it be the thermostat???

I'm beginning to think I have
a blocked or plugged with dirt
heater core, it blows warm, but
I changed the thermostat back
to the stock 180, and it didn't
blow as hot as it used to :(
How bad is it to open up and
pull that critter out ???

Possible. When I drain coolant to clean the core, I'm poppin a new one in.
