Title: How do you take the body clading off of a Tracker?
Post by: AJMBLAZER on September 02, 2006, 06:24:54 PM
I'm talking about the anti-door ding trim stuff about half way up the doors and fenders at the body line on the mid-90's models.  Seen here:

With any luck I'll be Chassis Saver'ing the rust and then Herculining at least up to the body line and anywhere else I have rust soon.

These held on by 3M tape?

I just used the Hawaiian Sun and a razorblade on mine

cleaned up the gum with paint thinner

(didnt worry too much as I was going to be painting it anyway)

least there were no holes to plug

Eh, as long as the crap left over isn't too thick or noticeable I'll probably just clean as much of it off with Xylol as possible and then Herculine over it. 8)
