Title: 1986 Sammy-1.3 Question
Post by: RifleRide on September 03, 2006, 09:36:27 AM
I just found a 1986 Sammy in great condition.  It has a 1.3 engine.  Can someone tell me something about that engine?  What kind of power, upgrade availability, faults, mileage etc.!!

67 wild HP  ;D  good engine, no real faults,
can be upgraded to the newer 1.6L with an
adapter for the old trans and some new engine
mounts.

Clean 86 sammys are hard to find, if you like
it get it, if not I'm sure someone here would like
to buy it

I went by to get a closer look today, but they were closed for holiday.  Not sure if it is orginal motor, but  body looks great and straight.  It has been a tow vehicle based on the front bumper being all beefed up and tow light connections.  Any problems I need to watch for since it has been a tow vehicle?
